Personal Vaporizer / E-Cigs
Well, today I want to write about my experience on smoking to improve your health. Yes, you read right but with a twist.
On a recent trip to Kuala Lumpur back in May, I saw a guy smoking something that didn't look like a cigarette at all. There was smoke being blown from his mouth after a drag. I thought wow, WTF is it that he is smoking! So I plucked up my courage and asked him what is it that he's smoking?
From that day onwards, what he showed me changed my life for the better, serious.
He told me it is called a personal vaporizer or some may call it electronic cigarette. Yes, all those years of inhaling thousands of harmful chemical and tar produced by cigarettes came to a stop for the better.
For those who doesn't know what a PV or E-Cig is, it's a battery powered device that uses nicotine juice with or without flavours to heat up a wick in the atomizer to produce vapour which we inhale and exhale. That's right folks, no more harmful chemicals and tar.
Nicotine juice or e-juice comes in various mg of nicotine where one can buy online mostly from China. In Australia, the government has banned retailers from selling e-juice that contains nicotine.
The government is also trying to ban the sale of PVs. The reason is very obvious to all.
If you still can't figure out why, well the government makes millions of dollars from tax on tobacco products. So, tobacco companies and the government have a vested interest in banning the sale of PVs.
A study was done that the nicobate patch or inhaler contains more nicotine than in what e-juices have. However, these can be bought in every pharmacy without a prescription. The government legalises the sale of such items but not the PV. Can anyone give me a better reason why this is so besides giving the reason that such devices hasn't been tested to be safe! OK but are they doing anything to even start a research or test on such devices??? I rest my case.
Adults are old enough to make up their minds on whether they want to continue smoking even if a pack of cigarettes cost $20.
The government tells us that by increasing the price of cigarettes, it will discourage people from smoking. Well, they fail to tell you that, the real reason is to fill up their coffers while letting smokers deal with their addiction on their own. Why else do you think they want to ban something that help smokers to quit cigarettes which is so much safer in so many levels.
The e-juice contains nicotine, water, vegetable glycerin or propylene glycerine and flavouring.
There are hundreds of different flavours one can choose from and it includes tobacco flavours too.
Again, I have to stress that there are no harmful chemicals and tar in the vapour that is produced from vaping. Oh, the other great thing about vaping is that there is no fowl smell as like from smoking a cigarette. People around you will not have to worry about second hand smoke that is produced by cigarettes.
There are a lot of people that like to smoke in their cars. Me personally, I don't like smoking whilst driving. With PVs, drivers won't be flicking their cigarette butts out of their window and littering.
On the subject of littering, do you notice that there are almost non existence with rubbish bins that allow smokers to get rid of their cigarette butts?
Think about it, no ash trays, cigarette ash, butts, bad smell, bad breath, stained teeth and most importantly, no risk of starting a fire with a cigarette butt. How good is that for everyone, even the environment.
Vapour produced from vaping dissipate so quickly after exhaling you won't even realise it. Unlike the smoke that is produced from a cigarette. Now, if you haven't noticed, I've been mentioning vapour instead of smoke. Yes my friends, there is a difference between vapour and smoke.
3 months on and no urge to have a cigarette! I reckon that's a great way to stop smoking.
Don't forget, one can reduce their amount of nicotine content in time and eventually stop having nicotine all together.
I hope I've contributed to someone that intends to quit smoking via suing a PV. I have been a heavy smoker for about 25 years and by switching cigarettes to using a PV, it has helped me tremendously. I feel so much better health wise. No more coughing and irritating mucous. Have better taste and sense of smell is back for good.
For those who wish to know more about PVs and vaping, feel free to contact me or comment here and I will be glad to provide you with more information and sites to refer to.
That's right, make a change for the better for yourself and your loved ones.
Until next time, vape on and vape nonchalantly.

WTF
iPhone sex: make someone very app-y
The new Passion app for the iPhone.
Asher Moses
July 29, 2009 - 12:26PMA new iPhone application has been released that purports to measure how competent you are in the sack.
The ‘‘Passion’’ app uses the phone’s built-in accelerometer, used to sense motion, as well as the device’s microphone and timer.
Simply place the phone on the bed or in a pocket before intercourse and, at the end of the horizontal dance, the phone will give you a rating out of 10 based on three criteria: duration, orgasm and activity.
The timer measures duration, while the accelerometer measures activity and the microphone measures the orgasm.
The score can then be uploaded and compared to those of other people around the world. There is even a ‘‘high scores’’ leaderboard for those interested in bragging rights.
The $US4.99 app is the brainchild of Chris Alvares, a US computer science student who has previously developed a number of iPhone quiz apps including WikiQuiz, Four Squared and MusicApp.
‘‘All you have to do is start the application, put your iPhone on the bed, in an arm band, or even in your pocket and have intercourse, it is as easy as that,’’ Alvares wrote in a blog postannouncing the new app.
‘‘Once you are finished, press the stop button and view your results.’’
Those with more fuel left in the tank can elect to ‘‘try again’’ if they’re not happy with their score.
In an email interview, Alvares said he was not sure how many copies of the app he had sold yet as it had only just been added to the iTunes App Store.
‘‘No, it is not a hoax, and it actually works! The idea came up as a joke between some of my co-works [sic] and I, and later I figured out an algorithm that I could use with the iPhone’s available features,’’ he wrote.
The iPhone App Store’s army of third-party developers seem to be showing a predilection for bizarre and tasteless apps, a trend kicked off by the iFart app, which reportedly earned $US10,000 a day and inspired 13 copycats.
Other apps in a similar vein include Naughty Trivia, Amateur Surgeons, R U Drunk, eShaver and Purity Ring.
An app called ‘‘the most annoying app ever’’ serves no other purpose than to constantly pester users.
This week bloggers were amused after discovering the top three most popular iPhone apps focused on sex, drugs and alcohol.
These were Swimsuit Illustrated’s Swimsuit app, the Cannabis app for locating medical marijuana dispensaries on a map and the Mixologist app, which includes mixed drink recipes.
