Rantings

Wow, I can't believe my last post was back in 2010! Well, it's a new year and a lot have happen since. Just want to wish everyone a great year ahead. New year, new abode, new start, hopefully all good things will come to fruition. Like I said earlier, lots have happened in the past year and a half. If you haven't already guessed, things haven't been that great. So, here's hoping things will get better this year on. A few good things did come my way though. With my last employment, I managed to make a trip back to Malaysia and endede up spending nearly 6 months with my family and friends. One good thing came out of that. I rekindled my frienship with a very old school mate of mine and made a few other new mates in the process. We spent a lot of time rekindling our past and pondering our current situation and the future. It was like renewing our friendship and getting to know each other better. It has to be said that we were not in contact for a good few years since I moved to Australia. Well, I'm really happy and pleased that we managed to achieve this contact. Our trips to Thailand has been memorable as new friendships were established and lost. Yes, lost. One early morning in Thailand, I received a phone call about our friend who collapsed on his bed. We rushed over to his place and found him not responding. Helped moved him to the hospital and waited until the dreaded news was given to us. Yes, he was gone just like that. We were with him and his wife for dinner just the night before and there were no signs of any problems. In fact, we were with him every day for that past week. Fucking gone just like that! Stayed for his funeral and it was quite a memorable one. May he rest in peace. Well, that why I've always said that we should just enjoy ourselves and not get too caught up with all the bullshit that surrounds us. Whether it be financial, career, family or whatever it may be, just get over it and not let it engulf your life. Live life and be who you are. Life is too damn fucking short! Hence, I quit my job and sticked it to them lol! Spent a few months doing jack shit and enjoying myself with family, friends and food! Oh, there were women in between :-) If it's any consolation, I still do not have anything or anyone in my life. I lost a lot this past year. Life goes on! Chinese New Year is only a couple of days away and I am going to be in Melbourne this year. It was like it was only last month that I spent CNY in Malaysia. Totally fantastic time. Also managed to catch up with my son albeit only for a couple of days. I guess it's better than none. Well, the latest news is that my son and his mum will be coming back to Malbourne this March. Hopefully, I'll be spending more time with him, just to get to know him better. It's a bit like starting a new friendship. It's sad but at the same time exciting to get to know my son. Fingers crossed! Actually, I feel more for him as he will have to start all over in making new friends in new schools. I know it's not going to be easy for him and I hope I can help him overcome some of the difficulties. Well, I hope he would have an easy transition to another new life. Let's hope we can do it together. Well, like I said, new year, new beginnings - lets hope all the life's goodness goes your way as it comes my way! Fingers and toes crossed lol!
